WEDDING
BREHAUT—GOULD At St. David’s Church. Raincliff. the marriage took place of Elsie, third daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Gould, Opihi. to Walter Everard, second son of Mr and Mrs William Brehaut, Timaru. The Rev. C. C. Oldham performed the ceremony, and Mrs Oldham was at the organ. The church was beautifully decorated with autumn flowers. Entering the church with her father, who subsequently gave her away, the bride wore a gown of beautiful delphinium blue georgette, with deep ac-cordeon-pleated frill at the foot. The bodice was made with a cowl back and bodice was made with a cowl neck back and front, and long tight fitting sleeves, with accordeon-pleated epaulettes. Her wide hat was of delphinium blue felt and was trimmed with a twist of velvet, tied in a bow at the front. She carried a bouquet of cream gladioli and blue hyacinths. The bridesmaid, Miss Hilda Gould, wore blue georgette, patterned in lemon, pale pink roses, and made with short puffed sleeves. The cowl necked bodice was clipped back and front with a brilliant ornament, the skirt being tight-fitting to the knees, and finished with deep accordeon-pleats at the foot. She wore a wide hat of oyster rice straw, and carried a bouquet of pink gladioli. Mr Gordon Brehaut. brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. After the ceremony, Mr and Mrs Gould entertained the guests at their home, Mrs Gould wearing a navy striped tailored costume, and smart navy velour hat. Mrs Brehaut, mother of the bridegroom, also wore a navy tailored costume with navy hat, trimmed with white. The bride and bridegroom left for the north on their honeymoon.
