HELD BY BANDITS
FAVOURABLE REPORT FROM BANDITS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright PEKIN, April 30. It is now established that the missionaries Mr A. Hayman of Australia, and Mr Rudolph Bosshardt, of Manchester, who were captured by Chinese bandits some weeks ago, were alive 10 days ago. The British Legation learned to-day from the Consul at Changsha, in the Hunan province, that a letter dated April 20 had been received from a missionary named Mr Becker, stating that both the captives are now at Lungshiachi, 30 miles from Yung-Chowfu, in Southern Hunan. They were being well treated.
