GOOD DEMAND AND PRICES FIRM. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Received December 18, 10 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 18. At the wool sales 11,642 bales were offered of which 10,285 were sold, also 882 privately. There was good general competition with a particularly strong demand from Japan. Prices were firm. Greasy Merino made to 18d per lb. Last week’s average was £l2 5s 3d per bale, or 9.6 d per lb.
