WOMEN’S DIVISION

KINGSDOWN BRANCH At the monthly meeting of the Kingsdown branch of the W.D.F.U., Mrs C. Daniel presided over a large attendance of members. Mrs T. K. McAlwee was welcomed as a new member. Arrangements were made for the children’s fancy dress party to be held before Christmas. After the general business was concluded, Mrs Daniel introduced Mr Carter, who gave an interesting talk and demonstration on sewing machines, which was much appreciated by all present. A competition for the best rose bloom resulted: Mrs Rooney 1, Mrs Bennison , Miss M. Henderson 3. The hostesses were Mesdames C. Daniel, E. Daniel, C. Hall and M. O’Connor.
