FASCIST MARTYRS
HONOURED BY MUSSOLINI IN FLORENCE I United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright FLORENCE, October 28. Great preparations were made to ensure the safety of Signor Mussolini arriving in honour of the thirty-seven B Fascist “martyrs” who fell in the early , Fascist struggles. The streets were hung with black flags inscribed with j their names. Thousands watched the procession of their coffins, which were carried to the mortuary chapel of the Church of Santa-Croce, the Wests minster Abbey of Florence. , Signor Mussolini stood in the doorway of the chapel, leading the Fascist i salute as the coffins arrived. The names of the dead were called out, . spectators crying “present.”
