THEFT OF TWO SHEEP
MARRIED MAN SENTENCED. By Telegraph—Press Association PALMERSTON N„ July 24. Albert Reginald Hulena was sentenced to six months imprisonment for stealing two lambs. The evidence showed that when gathering fine cones on the property of Mr F. Linklater, M.P., he rounded up a mob of sheep and lambs, cut the throats of two, carted them home on a bicycle, ate the meat, buried the bones, which were subsequently dug up and produced in court by the police, and sold the skins. One of the chief witnesses was his own son, who was engaged on the cone gathering contract.
