RELIEF OF DISTRESS
CANTERBURY RUGBY UNION VOTES £250. By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, July 24. Grants to several Christchurch charitable organisations totalling £250 were made by the Canterbury Rugby Union at its meeting to-night. A grant of £2O was made to the Metropolitan Relief Association, £ls to each of 12 smaller organisations, and the balance of £SO to several depots associated with the Metropolitan Relief Association’s Central Depot.
