POISONED SERUM

Dr. Byron Baldwin, a prominent physician, fearing the epidemic of infantile paralysis, innoculated his two young sons, Bobbie (7) and Jackie (2), but the serum proved to be contaminated. Jackie died and Bobbie is seriously ill, with only a slight chance of surviving. Dr, Baldwin had a large supply of serum, and was preparing to innoculate a dozen children, all members of prominent families, when the illness of his children revealed that the serum was poisonous. The authorities are investigating the source of supply.
