FRUIT IN BRITAIN
ACTIVITY IN CANNING INDUSTRY United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 18, 7.50 pm.) LONDON, May 18. “The Daily Herald” says that British canners in the coming season will produce 100,000,000 tins of fruit. They are the masters of the canned vegetable market, but find that people prefer the cheaper imported pineapples, peaches and apricots.
