LIBERIA’S PLIGHT STRONG CRITICISM AT GENEVA United Frees Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 19, 1.10 a.m.) GENEVA, May 18. Mr R. A. Eden (representing Britain) in the strongest speech on the situation in Liberia, condemned the appalling example of mis-govemmenc that had not relieved the tragedy which was discrediting her statesmen. The League would be justified in considering Liberia’s expulsion, but that would not assist in a solution. It would be better if the United States was approached with a view to a concerted end to the unhappy state of affairs.
