SUBSTANTIAL DECREASE ON ESTIMATE. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 18, 9.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, May 18. The Federal deficit for the fiscal year ending June 30 passed 3,500,000,000 million dollars to-day. The original budget estimates forecast the deficit at June 30 at 7,300,000,000 dollars. It is pointed out that the expenditures have not been so rapid’as was originally believed would be necessary.
