SOLDIERS’ FEAR FUTURE
BITTER RESOLUTION PASSED. STRATFORD (Ontario), December 8. Twenty-one members of the Canadian Legion of War Veterans, declaring that the war was fought in vain, adopted a resolution to send back to the Finance Ministers of the Allied countries the medals awarded to each. The medals will be accompanied by notes declaring that nationalism flourishes, greed is rampant, armaments menace homes, and war impends. Nothing remains of wartime ideals but medals, memories, and war debts.
