VEHICLES COLLIDE
MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED By Telegraph—Press Association DANNEVIRKE, December 11. A collision between a motor cyc-rc ridden by Aubrey Stanley Smith (21), motor driver, whose parents reside in Milton Road. Napier, and having as a pillion passenger, Robert Allan Scott, son of the manager of the Dannevirke Municipal Gasworks, and a car driven by Desmond Michael McDonald, an employee of the local branch of Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., occurred late yesterday, just outsidethe southern end of the borough. Smith, who suffered a compound fracture of the spine and right leg and severe head injuries, died in hospital at 9 o'clock in the evening. Scott had his right leg broken and also suffered head injuries. His condition is only fair to-day.
