SAFE BLOWN OPEN
THIEVES SECURE £5. By Telegraph—Press Association TAURANGA, December 11. The railway station at Katikati wa: broken into early on Sunday morning The safe was blown open with gelignite. and the cash bag. containing £! was stolen. The theft was not discovered unti the evening, when it was found tha the catch >n t e window had beer broken. Evidently the thief used twe heavy door mats, and a tarpaulin tc deaden the sound. Residents assert that they heard : noise early on Sunday morning, but , notice wns taken of it.
