WOMEN’S CLUB
A musical treat was provided toy the members of the Music Circle of the South Canterbury Women’s Club last night, when they invited Mr Alfred Bunz, the well-known Christchurch musician, to entertain them with his music. Mrs H. W. Hall, chairwoman of the Circle, introduced Mr Biinz, who said how pleased he was to be in Timaru again, and although it was many years since he had been in South Canterbury, he looked upon Timaru as his second home. Mrs Hall, who received the guests, wore a frock of black georgette heavily embroidered in gold. In the first part of the programme Mr Bunz played several musical selections from the great masters, and in the second half gave a most interesting lecture with lantern slides on Vienna.
