Herr Eggerstedtt, Socialist ex-chid of police, and previously imprisoned, was shot dead on the Dutch frontier in trying to enter Holland. StiGoting Explained. It appears that Eggerstedt escaped from the concentration camp at Kapendorf. and hid during the night in a wood. He tried to dash across the frontier, so his pursuers fired.
