HAZELBURN WOMEN’S DIVISION The first meeting of the Hazelburn branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the school on Saturday. Mrs Shires presided over a good attendance of members and visitors. A vote of sympathy was passed with Mrs Mowat in the death of her mother. Mrs B. E. Evans, South Canterbury provincial president, read a letter from Mrs Ward. Dominion president, and then gave a demonstration of spinning wool from the fleece. Afternoon tea was served.
