HARBOUR RECEIPTS

IMPROVEMENT FOR EIGHT MONTHS. At yesterday’s meeting of the Timaru Harbour Board, the chairman (Mr G. T. Dawson) presented a comparative statement of receipts for the first eight months of the present year, and the corresponding period of last year, which showed an increase of £206/4/3 without taking into account the amount received last year for the hire of the dredge to Oamaru, and harbour Improvement rate, from which £1602 was received last year.
