WEDDING

McGAUGHEY—MORRISON A quiet but pretty wsfidlng was solemnised in the Bank Street Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 30th, the Rev. Harold T. Peat officiating, when . QUve May, youngest daughter of Mr and the late Mrs W. Morrison, of Grey Road, and late, of Invercargill, was joined in holy matrimony to David Alexandra, fourth son of Mr and Mrs J. McGaiighey of Okaihau, Bay of Islands. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very attractive in a simple frock of saxe blue crepe de chene, with champagne trimmings, and with hat and shoes to tone. She was accompanied, as bridesmaid, by Miss Mary Fowler (of Wenden, Southland), robed in a frock of dark brown cejanese with hat and shoes to match. Both bride and bridesmaid carried shower bouquets to tone with their frocks. Mr Walter Gow assisted Mr McGaughey as best man. After the ceremony a wedding reception was held at the residence of Mr Morrison, Grey Road, where Miss J. Morrison welcomed the guests. The happy couple were recipients of many presents and numerous telegrams and later in the day left for their future home in Invercargill amidst showers of confetti and good wishes.
