THE WEATHER.
Dominion Meteorologist, An anti-cyclone now covers New Zealand, the Tasman Sea and the greater portion of Australia, with slight low pressure waves moving along its Southern border. Winds, variable with moderate westerlies to south westerlies prevailing, and freshening at times in Cook and Foxeaux Straits. Seas, in New Zealand waters, smooth to maderate. Tasman sea, light to moderate variable winds, with smooth to moderate seas in the Eastern Tasman. Weather fair to fine generally, but some showers at times in the western districts of the South Island, and about Foveaux Strait. There will be a cold night and cold temperatures.
