SEGRAVE TROPHY.
KINGSFORD SMITH FIRST HOLDER. United Pres® Association—By Electrlo Tel egraph—Copyright LONDON, March 19. Wing-Commander Kingsford Smith will be the first recipient of the Segrave Memorial Trophy, which the sculptor, Mr Gilbert Bayes, is designing. The award is for the most outstanding demonstration of the possibilities of land, air, and water transport., stimulating others to uphold British prestige by demonstrating how courage, initiative, skill and the spirit of adventure can assist in mechanical development. Wing-Commander Smith will receive it for his Anglo-Australian flights.
