VARSITY BURSARIES.
QUESTION OF HARSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. March 20. The hardship suffered by University students through the cutting down of the higher leaving certificate bursaries, was placed before the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes and the Hon. H. Atmore by a students’ deputation to-day. Mr Forbes Replied that the Government desired to continue the paying of bursaries. It was all a question of money. He intimated that the Government would be pleased to look into the cases of special hardship.
