The Bill will go to the committee stage to-day. AUSTRALIAN EXCHANGE. NO BENEFIT PROM RISE IN WOOL. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received, March 19, 8.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 19. Australian exchange has failed to benefit from the continued improvement in the wool market, says the "Financial News.” Banking circles now realise that there can be no question of an early reduction in the official rates. Indeed, there are signs of a moderate revival of the outside market, where rates are between 130 J and 131 J. Owing to Mr Lang’s Interest reduction proposals, considerable money is being sent from New South Wales.
