SCHOOL EVACUATED.

EARTHQUAKE DANGER. By Telegraph—Press Association PALMERSTON N., March 19. Following reports by the Board’s architect and structural engineers of the P.W.D., the Wanganui Education Board deemed it advisable to suggest that the Central School at Palmerston North, a large brick building, should be evacuated. The Minister of Education, aftef consultation with the P.W.D. adopted the suggestion, and the school was evacuated to-day, pending a decision regarding structural alterations. Other accommodation is being found for 600 pupils.
