STRUCK BY CYCLONE.
SERIOUS DAMAGE IN MAURITIUS. British Official Wireless RUGBY, March 6. The Governor of Mauritius telegraphed to the Secretary for the Colonies advising that a severe cyclone passed over the island on March 5. Heavy damage was done to buildings and loss of sugar crops is feared. It is unknown yet whether there has been much loss of life. Very high winds still prevail. Telephone and telegraph wires are cut and communications by road is very difficult.
