BIG CONFERENCE AT MASTERTON. By Telegraph—Press Association MASTERTON, December 29. Between five and six hundred delegates to the Presbyterian Bible Class summer conference are assembled in Masterton on the occasion of the annual conference which is extending to January sth. Delegates were extended a civic welcome by the Mayor (Mr T. Jordan), and to-day was marked by numerous activities, such as sectional meetings, business sessions, sport and addresses. The annual North versus South Island cricket match was won by North Island by eight wickets. To-day’s speakers were the Revs. R. M. Ryburn, H. Davies and Mrs Davies, Revs. R. J. Howie and J. S. Laughton.
