DR. BUCK.
APPOINTMENT AT YALE. By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, December 29. Word has been received in Auckland of the appointment of Dr. P. H. Buck, formerly of Auckland, and now of the Bishop Museum, Honolulu, to the post of lecturer on Anthropology for postgraduate students at Yale University. The position was offered to him some time ago, and he has now intimated his acceptance of the offer. Dr. Buck is a well-known member of the Maori race. He studied medicine at Otago University, and at one time was on the staff of the Health Department, as medical officer to the Maoris.
