MUNN WILL HANG.
SENTENCE TO BE CARRIED OUT. By Telegraph—Press Asso«iati«n WELLINGTON, July 23. The sentence of death on Arthur Thomas Munn for the murder of his wife was upheld by the Executive Council at a meeting this morning. The Prime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, made the following statement : “The case of Arthur Thomas Munn, convicted of murder, was considered at a meeting of the Executive Council this morning, presided over by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, when it was decided that the sentence should be carried out. "The execution must be carried out within seven days of the issue of the warrant."
