SALE OF ’PLANE.
FIRST WELLINGTON OWNER. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 15. Wellington’s first private aeroplane owner will be Mr P. Berryman, who has agreed to purchase Miss Aroha Clifford’s Avro-Avian machine. The ’plane is at present at Rongotai, and to-morrow Miss Clifford will fly it for the last time before she hands it over to Mr Berryman. The new owner recently qualified for his license. The machine was brought to New Zealand by Flight-Lieutenant K. W. J. Hall, of Hororata, to replace an Avian which had crashed. Miss Clifford purchased it from him about the middle of February last.
