MAGISTRATE’S COURT. A sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held yesterday before Messrs W. Geddes and S. d‘A. Grut. J.P.’s. Judgment by default was given in the following cases:—Dash’s Ltd. v. H. High School, No. 1 ground at 3 p.m. Competition, 4th round.— Third grade: High School v. Old Boys, No. 3 ground at 3 p.m.; Huimai a bye. General. It was decided that L. Watters be allowed to play for Old Boys junior in the knock-out competition. A vote of thanks was extended to Mr Keyes for his instruction and training of the representative team which defeated Mackenzie. Accounts amounting to £5 12s 8d were passed for payment. Mr Williams, who, as a proxy delegate for the Southern Club at last week's meeting, voted in favour of the Railway v. Carriers match being played on Sunday, wished it to be known that he voted as instructed, and that it was not necessarily an expression of his private opinion. The match High School v. St. Kevins, which was to have taken place on Saturday last, will not be played until 22nd inst. TEAMS FOR THURSDAY. Nichcl, Messrs Schroeder and Dallas. Thev f were opposed by Messrs C. C. Cook (leader), G. Robertson, K. D. Mes-cr and A.
