PERSONAL.
Colonel Styles Webb, 1.M.5., will leave Timaru to-day for the Hermitage. The Hon. P. A. de la Perelle, Minister for Internal Affairs, will proceed to Wellington to-day from the south. The Hon. W. B. Taverner, Minister of Public Works, passed through Timaru yesterday on his way to Wellington. Mr H. R. Sellers, secretary to the New Zealand Racing Conference, will leave Christchurch for Wellington on Thursday, where he will take up his permanent residence, consequent upon the headquarters of the Conference being transferred to that city. A pleasant little gathering took place in the lounge of the Dominion Hotel yesterday, when staff met for the purpose of making a presentation to Mr and Mrs D. C. Clark. Mr Jewell expressed regret at Mr and Mrs Clarks early departure, and wished them every success in their new home. The presentation consisted of a handsome tea set and pyrex dish. Mr Clark suitably responded. Mr and Mrs Clark’s future home will be in Temuka.
