THE WEATHER.
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate to strong south to south-east; weather cold and changeable, with an occasional shower lightly. Outlook for week ending July 21:— Wind mainly southerly to easterly; weather mainly fair during the period, but an occasional shower expected. Dominion Meteorologist. A shallow depression has passed eastwards of the Dominion. An intense anti-cyclone covers eastern Australia, but pressure is of the westerly type in southern latitudes. Expect west to south-west w’inds, moderate generally, but strong at times in the far north and south. Seas rough at times in Foveaux Strait; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Weather mainly fair to fine in eastern districts; changeable in western districts, with scattered showers. Temperatures cool.
