CONFIDENCE OF EXPERTS. United Press Association —By Electrls Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, July 8. The geological adviser, Dr Woolnough who is visiting the United States, has forwarded a report to the Prime Minister (Mr Scullin), saying: “Without exception the geologists with whom I have discussed the question are more favourably impressed with the ultimate prospects of oil discovery in Australia than I ever dared to.be. All that is necessary is patience and money. I described the conditions in Australia and that is their answer. The dimensions of the oil leases, they add, must be at least 640 acres.”
