ELECTRIC STORM
AUCKLAND CHIMNEYS BROKEN. By Telegraph—Pre** Association. AUCKLAND, April 29. A severe electrical storm struck the city this afternoon. Lightning destroyed chimneys, while the occupants of shops and offices in Queen Street were greatly alarmed by a terrific peal of thunder and a vivid lightning flash. Nobody was injured. A heavy fall of rain in the city and district will be of great benefit.
