Horace Walpole, aged thirty-six, a car driver, was found murdered in his car between Queenscliff and Geelong. He was a well-known figure on the taxi ranks at Geelong. He received an engagement last night, since when he has been missing. Walpole was shot from behind with a bullet in his head. The body was covered with a rug. Robbery was not the motive as money was found in the pockets.
