MAIL ROBBERIES.
BAGS MISSING FROM LINERS. (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received, April 29, 8.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 29. The Postal Department here advises that bags of mail matter from Glasgow and Manchester, received by the. liner Mooltan now in Sydney, were pillaged in transit.
The bags contained a number of registered articles, which are missing It is further reported from Perth that a registered mail bag has been stolen from the liner Chitral now en route to Sydney. The lists of consignees are also missing, and it will be difficult to trace senders.
