CONTROL OF SUEZ
EGYPTIAN WILY INTRIGUE. (Unl’.ed Press Assoclnt-lor —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. > LONDON, April 14. All the wiles of the Egyptian delegation are at present concentrated on an attempt to shake Britain of her control of the Suez Canal. There is no sign at the moment of Mr Henderson wavering under the rain of subterfuge. There is good reason for the suggestion that the importance of the Egyptians are attaching to the Canal is only camouflage, hiding a desire to obtain concessions in the Soudan. A probable line of Egyptian strategy is to accept the inevitable rebuff on the Canal issue, then demand, as a compromise, the restoration of some measure of control in the Soudan. STILL IN CONFERENCE. EGYPTIANS AT FOREIGN OFFICE. (United Press Association—By Electric Tel egraph—Copyright.) (Received April 15, 11.20 p.m.) LONDON, April 15 The Foreign Minister (Mr Henderson) and the Egyptian delegation were still in conference at the Foreign Office at three o'clock this morning. The conference began yesterday, and continued after an adjournment for dinner.
