FLYING ACCIDENT.
CRASHED ON HIGH TENSION WIRES. (United Press Association—By BTectr' : Telegraph—Copyright.) VANCOUVER, April 14. Three were killed in an extraordinary accident when a ’plane became entangled with a high-tension wire at the edge of the airport at Ypsilanti (Michigan). Levi Keppler, bank manager, who was a passenger, was electrocuted. When the ’plane burst into flames Harry Walters, manager of the airport, who witnessed the accident, ran to the rescue with a chemical fire extinguisher. He turned it on the blaze, but the strong current from the hightension wire followed the stream back to Walters, killing him instantly. John Corby rushed forward and tried to rescue Walters, but was electrocuted when he touched the body. The pilot and one other passenger in the ’plane were unharmed.
