A procession of girls, carrying banners, opened the demonstration in support of the women’s claim to retain their own nationality when they marry
foreigners. The marchers’ dresses showed, by graded colours, how the countries stand legislatively on the subject, which is being raised in connection with the conference on Modification of International Law associated therewith.
