CASUALTIES
“OF UNSOUND MIND.” By Telegraph— Association. AUCKLAND, February 5. A verdict of suicide while of unsound mind was returned by the Coroner (Mr F. K. Hunt) at the inquest into the death of Llewellyn Mayson, who jumped from Grafton Bridge yesterday, and died an hour later in hispital. A brother of deceased said that deceased had suffered nervous breakdown. After receiving treatment at Thames Hospital, deceased was a patient at the mental hospital at Tokanui until his discharge on January 26. Prior to his committal to the mental hospital, he had shown suicidal tendencies, but he had made no previous attempt to take his life.
