The Universities’ Standing Advisory Committee, representing all Australian Universities, meeting at Melbourne, decided to extend an invitation to Dean Inge to visit Australia next year as the overseas lecturer for 1930. [The Very Rev. W. Ralph Inge, Dean of St. Paul’s, is sixty-eight years of age, and succeeded Dr. Gregory as Dean in 1911. He was formerly Lady Margaret Professor of Divinity, Cambridge. He is an authority on the mystics. He was formerly vicar of All Saints, Ennismore Gardens. He was created a C.V.O. in July, 1918. His books “England” and “Lay Thoughts of a Dean,” were published in 1926 and others in 1927.]
