COL. RUTHERFORD’S RELEASE.
LIVING IN THE EAST. (United Press Association—By Electno Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, August 22. The “Daily Express” reveals that Lieut.-Colonel Norman Rutherford was released from Broadmoor Asylum at the beginning of the year on the condition that he' left England. He has taken up his residence in the East, but his family has received no direct communication from him since his release. [Lieut.-Colonel Rutherford was tried in 1919 for the murder of Major Seton, of the Australian Medical Corps, and was found guilty but insane. He was sent to Broadmoor Asylum, but released early this year, a cablegram stating it was understood he had gone to America.]
