HARRIERS.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP. The Timaru Harrier Club’s champinship and sealed handicap will be held to-day. The race will be run over a distance of approximately seven miles, and after the rain the course will be exceptionally difficult. The favourite is G. Broadhead, who ran well in Christchurch at the Canterbury Cross-Country Championship, to gain seventh place and the junior title. His most dangerous opponent should be Harper, who is capable of running a solid race under any conditions. Others who should run well are R. Holmes, McArthur, Marshall, Pro van, Slade and Dennison. The club’s present champion (Eaton), will not be a starter, owing to leg injury. The following are the entries:—G. Broadhead, A. Harper, R. Holmes, A. McArthur, I. Marshall, H. Dennison, L. Provan, R. Nelson, H. Stare, R, Taylor, C. Slade, S. McDougall, H. Valentine, G. Valentine, T. O’Leary, A. D. Evans, A. S. Evans. W. Taylor. C. Berry, C. Foster, R. Metson, L. Gordon, A. Foden.
