The task of inflating the giant 100passenger Burney-Rolls Royce airship, with 5,000,000 cubic feet of hydrogen gas begins at Howden, Yorkshire, today. The task is expected to occupy a month, after which the Air Ministry expects to conduct shed tests. The airship’s preliminary flights will then be made over Britain, prior to the Atlantic flight to Canada.
