UNLUCKY TAKE OFF
’PLANE DAMAGED IN CRASH. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegrann—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, July 28. A message from Tacoma states that the monoplane City of Tacoma, piloted by Captain Harold Bromley, crashed during the take-off on his scheduled non-stop flight to Tokio to-day. The ’plane was damaged, but Bromley was not hurt.

The City of Tacoma ’plane has been completely wrecked. Captain Bromley said the gas sprayed from the fuselage tanks temporarily blinded him. He will attempt a fight again as soon as a ’plane has been secured.
