Reece has a chance of beating the spot stroke record, 3305, compiled in 1890 by I’eall, the father of his present opponent. The “Daily Herald” stales that the real discoverer of the pendulum stroke was James Peperell, formerly billiards Instructor at tlie London Polytechnic. He thought it out years ago and confided it to Claude Falkinc, who was unable to exploit it.
