CYCLISTS COLLIDE. By Telrgrsnl'—Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 21. A serious accident occurred at l’apatoetoo this morning, when a motorcycle and push bicycle collided at the intersection of a side load and tho main concrete highway. The riders of both were badly hurt. Tho cyclist, I lobe rt Holland, a married man residing at 53 Walmsloy Road, Otalniliu, sustained a compound fracture of tho leg, and head injuries. He was operated on at Auckland Hospital this morning, and is in a critical condition. Tho motor-cyclist, George _ l’ollard (21), single, of Hnlonui Road, Olahuhu, was also admitted to Auckland Hospital, where lie is suffering from injuries to his head.

Witness, with Radcliffe and three other young men, were out rabbitshooting. Deceased was walking seven yards in front of witness, and to the left. AATtness was climbing up a rise, and was cocking his gun when he tripped. The hammer slipped from his thumb, and the charge exploded. Deceased did not fall, but said “You shot me, Bill.” Witness thought deceased was joking till he put out a band, and sank down. Two of tho party went for help, and the others rendered such aid as Ihey could to il.o wounded man. Half an hour after the accident a shooting party in a. motor-car was stopped to take deceased to the hospital. The Coroner returned a verdict of fccichntal death.
