Lang has received a communication from the Governor, intimating that he was favourable to additional appointments to the Upper House, but the number had not been specified. The Cabinet was hurriedly summoned, and discussed the pending appointments, ultimately deciding to consult the Caucus before making any recommeiidat.ons. It is understood that about twenty new members will be recommended for appointment.
