RAILWAY EXTENSION.
BEAUMONT TO MILLER’S FLAT. Mjr Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, December 16. At Miller’s Flat to-day the Hon. G. J. Anderson officially opened a new section of railway of 14 miles between Beaumont and Miller’s Flat. There was a large gathering from the surrounding districts, and much satisfaction was expressed at the manner at which the line had been pushed on by the Minister of Railways. Residents were gratified also at the present progress of the railway extension from Miller’s Flat to Roxburgh, which should be completed within two years.
