WHITE SLAVE TRAFFIC

The Latvian Police claim to have discovered a colossal white slave organisation in Moscow. They noticed hundreds of beautiful Russian, Polish and Luthercian girls, accompanied by nondescript husbands, departing for Brazil and Argentina, the same men repeatedly appearing with new “wives.” The girls when questioned declared that they were overjoyed at leaving Russia. When they were told that they would become white slaves, they retorted: “Better to bo white slaves in South America, than the hungry playthings or Russian Bolsheviks.”
It is believed the girls were sold for £IOOO to £3OOO each.
